 Film Night: The 11th Hour

Narrated by Leonardo DiCaprio, ‘The 11th Hour’ is a captivating documentary exploring the perilous state of our planet, and the means by which we can change our course. Contributing to this crucial film are noted politicians, scientists and other ambassadors for the importance of a universal ecological consciousness.

CAWAG will also be bringing along their bookshare library which features a number of interesting and entertaining books and dvds, all free to borrow. Don’t forget to bring back any you borrowed last time!

The Cornbury Room (back of the Bell Hotel). Tickets £2 on the door, refreshments available from the bar.

 SusCha meeting with Lord Rotherwick

The Cornbury Estate in Charlbury are doing interesting things with renewable energy
and sustainability.

SusCha have been invited to go and meet Lord Rotherwick at Cornbury
Park on Thursday 25th September at 7.30pm to hear more about
Cornbury’s renewables programme and to find out what effect it could
have on the wider community. We still have a few places available for
this trip so if you are interested in talking more about the potential
of renewable energy in Charlbury, or to find out how Cornbury might
contribute to making Charlbury more sustainable, please email

 The Big Apple Takeaway!

Come along to the Playing Close at 2.30pm!

This is a bumper year for apples, so don’t waste them. If you have more apples or pears than you know what to do with then please bring them along for others to share.

If you have apples/pears that need picking then please email charlburysharecroppers@cwag.org.uk and ask us to pick them for you.

Also email us if you want to join in with the picking.

Otherwise, just come along to the PLaying Close on Sunday and take away some fresh, free apples! Bring your own bag or basket or buy the CAWAG jute bag for £2 on the day!

Charlbury Sharecroppers and Sustainable Charlbury are holding an Apple Bring & Take at 2.30pm on Sunday 14th September at the Playing Close. If you have more apples than you know what to do with then please bring them along for others to share. If you have apples that need picking before Sunday then please email charlburysharecroppers@cwag.org.uk and ask for us to pick them for you.

Come along to tell us if you have apples you want picking in the near future or if you want to join in with the picking.
