SusCha was formed in October 2006 as a local response to the growing threat of climate change. The big question was how individuals within our community could take positive steps to lower their CO2 emissions. The threat posed by climate change is severe and well documented (see our links page), and the effects of the changing climate have already been felt first hand in Charlbury during the terrible flooding in the summer. It is clear that it is up to each of us to make the changes necessary to curb our impact on the planet, but how do we go about it?
The purpose of SusCha is:
-
to enable and assist groups and individuals to make changes
-
to offer support and practical advice
-
to organise events and meetings
-
to provide a forum for active discussion.
This is a community group, everyone can have their say, and the more people who join in, the more SusCha will develop into a positive, empowering network in a community that cares about the planet and wants to be part of the solution.
