There are many exciting projects happening in Charlbury that could help you reduce your carbon emissions.
In conjunction with CAWAG, SusCha have helped to set up a light bulb library stocked with over 50 types of energy saving bulbs and energy monitoring equipment. You can borrow the library to try the bulbs before you buy them and ensure you have the right fitting and wattage.
A local company is offering a Thermal Imaging Service so you can see how heat efficient your home is. We have grants available to help with the costs and have also completed sample surveys on several homes so you can get an idea of the information and advice you will recieve.
Other projects which we are working on include the setting up of an organic market garden in Charlbury to produce local, seasonal fruit and vegetables, and a community composting network. Charlbury Primary School is going for silver eco-school status and we would like to work with staff and pupils in the garden and provide the school with some fresh vegetables. We also want to set up a fruit swapping network for anyone who is bored of their own apples and wants to try somebody elses!
